I've got a Nick Fury figure I'd like to have a go at paining but as those of you who know me will know apart from IronMan suits I don't paint figures, so I need a lot of help and advice.

The kit is a Dragon 1/9th scale kit moulded in vinyl plastic, my main area of concern is getting realistic looking skin tones, as I said I don't do figures :smiling3:
I've never used oils apart from a few washes but would I be right in thinking they would be better for figure painting?
Also how do I go about getting the correct African American skin tones?
The full length leather coat could also trip me up trying to get the correct look.
Thanks in advance for any help you could provide :smiling3:

Hi Ade
A good starting point for ethnic skin tones is the coolminiornot primer found here...it’s based on Vallejo paint.
Cheers
