Managed to get a bit of primer on today in between the chores. First a nice layer of black:

Once that had dried, I attempted a bit of grey pre-shade:

Left it all down the workshop overnight. Might get the chance to break out the 4BO before the end of the week.

Well, not a lot of progress this week. I had planned to get a bit done tomorrow, but I've been called in for an extra day at work so that's put paid to my intentions.

However, I did put the roadwheels together and got them fitted. Also put a little gloss on the turret and slid the minimal decals into place. And I eased the one side of tracks from four pieces into two.

More next week I hope. Here are the pics;

Well, apologies for the lack of progress the past couple of weeks..... I've been working extra days and along with other stuff, the build has languished a bit. However, after lunch today, the ladies decided they were going to watch the new West Side Story. That was it, I was out of there!

So I now have all the track runs made so there'll be no putting off the inevitable there. Sooner rather than later I will have to get them fitted...

I also made some new exhausts from plastic tube that I warmed and bent to shape and then thinned the walls at the end..

Decals have settled nicely and been given a matt coat ....

Next job, those tracks!

Well, so far so good. This is my first attempt at individual track links and I've only had one not particularly successful go at link and length.

Each side has been left in two pieces for painting and re-fitting. Fingers crossed......

Nick,
that's looking good - when the links fit together well, then it makes it a lot easier! - and how much better it looks, rather than using those nasty vinyl things!

Looking good Nick!! You're doing a great job even with work beating you up. Tracks should work good too. I really love the paperclips and the job they are doing on the tracks. Keep it going Sir!!!

Hi Nick
Tracks look good. Great to get them done. Paint and decals on. Excellent progress even with your forced lack of bench time.

Well, the group build comes to a close this Saturday and I'm sorry to say that I haven't quite made it. Today was the last day I'm likely to get any bench time this week and I still have some small parts to fit and the painting is incomplete.

I'd like to say thanks to Lee for hosting what has been my first attempt at a group build.

I'll post the completed pics in the appropriate section of the forum in due course, but in the meantime, here's how she's looking at the moment.

Thanks to all those who've looked in and provided encouragement along the way and to the other participants especially those who managed to reach the finish line in advance of the end date.

Looks good, and you're not the only 'first group build' - I'd never heard of them before joining the forum, and I enjoyed being part of it as well.

Well, she's finally finished and over in the completed group builds section. Thanks to all who followed along.
