John, I had to stand back to avoid the exclamation. The plastic straws were not so easy to use, paper ones would have been better...it's now only available since the environmental ban on plastic straws.

Hi again, I couldn't just leave the sides alone and built up concrete buttresses with more plaster
The chimney pipes were made from the largest hollowed clear rod I could find and glued it down with poly glue. You can see I really gave it a good helping of it. The chimney base was a block of plastered polystyrene.
The roughness of the plaster application would be similar actual ones.
I'm tempted to add a trap door and railings later.

Thanks Monica and Rick, it can be easy if its approached systematically in layers and not in one sitting. If you have an eye for scale its much easier without always measuring against plans.
For instants, the corner detailing was done using a template I made from thick card about 1cm width cut into shape and placed it against the wall edge. Mixed up plaster the consistency of Boston baked cheese and spread it on the opposing side. Didn't worry about the individual bricks...I scored that later with a serrated dinner knife. And there you have it.

Thank goodness all these years only the episode of weavils attacked the peas...I was expecting plants to sprout up...nada...phew. Here's a round of images showing the back leading to the courtyard which is cut very abrubtly...
Some of the troops will be hiding here. The right window is not plastered yet showing the card and balsa.
Straw drainage troves are very fragile.

Jim, ideally they should in war time as they cannot avoid artillery.
The windows were simply made out of clear acetate, measured and cut out then painted strips of masking tape applied in various widths.
And there you have it...balsa strips will line and hide the edges.

Hi, windows all the way with acetate. I didn't get pictures of the louved window doors the last time so will take some later.
I have though the images of the metal fence after priming and ends blackend.
Behind the fence will be grass and bushes... dunno if I'll position some of the hiding paratroops here.
