P-51 Splinter Camo, Finished

Well here it is, just a little side project after finding a picture of early camo schemes.

After a base white coat I took a few hours and cut and masked the splinters and then over sprayed with black, then Olive drab wings.

Its an eye catcher :smiling3:

I love it adrian, its a brilliant job and so eye catching. Any chance of us seeing the original b/w pic alongside one of the model? cheers tony

Well I would hardly call it camouflage, LOL but a very good disruptive scheme.

Nice work. I too would love to see the original photo.

Thanks all appreciate the nice comments, the P-51D I built was a £4 kit laying around and the actual pics show an earlier version, it was just a momment when I wondered could I do it :smiling3:
