Got some time on my hands, the wife has just had major surgery on her back, so while looking after her and my disabled son, I thought I’d start this, and Thunderbird 5 ( that’s in the Sifi section). I can’t really get into the modelling room, so there going to be tabletop build’s. I will paint them when I can.

As you can see, there are 4 versions, but I’ll be doing this one.

If you’re building a Boxer, you should really also build a kit of something people know the size of, to put next to it. Why, you ask?

So people don’t think you’ve suddenly ventured into 1:48 scale :smiling3: (Yes, the second from right in the last photo is an M1A1 Abrams …)

That looks like quite a good model. Nice to see the rear module is separate, that probably means more variants are in the pipeline :smiling3:

Hope recovery goes quickly for your wife Ian. Not much of one for modern stuff myself, but that looks pretty impressive. Reminds me of the APC from Aliens….. Great start on it, by the way….

Looking good, though one thing … that big slot you filled with white putty (?) on the left front, is supposed to be there :smiling3: You can see it in the photo I posted with the infantry section standing next to the vehicle.

Yes I know Jakko, but it was rather deep. So I’ve just filled it up a little. It will be painted black when I’ve done all the other painting. But thanks for pointing it out.

Impressive camo. Well done. I've seen four different modules (Ambulance, APC, C&C, and Recon w/cannon) and modeled APC and C&C versions in 1/87.
