No chance of getting in the garden then Pete , you’ll have to self isolate indoors and console yourself by doing some Online retail therapy , perhaps a nice Amodel kit ?I didn't prime it Tony. I occasionally use primer but haven't found it makes much difference to lifting. Then again I've only ever used Revell and Vallejo primers.
Sod's law, I've decided to leave it a couple of days before masking again, and it's started raining so no chance of gardening.

Don’t forget to save the old engine oil and send it to Amodel to use as a mould release agentOr, on the other hand, perhaps not!
Actually I need to get the gearbox/overdrive oil changed in my 1:1 Triumph, so that'll keep me busy for a while. Might change the engine oil as well while I'm under there.

Hey Rick, many thanks for the compliment, and the great story! Where were those cracks? Must have been serious to junk the whole plane.Let me tell you Peter, It looks better than the one I tossed off the "Fantail" of the USS Intrepid in 1972 because cracks had been detected on a routine inspection of the dye penetrant nature, conducted by yours truly. At that time the cost of replacement was $6,000.00 US. Just a drop in the proverbial bucket, if you know what I mean. Rick H.
