The PM model is one of the cheapest models on the market - and it shows it - crude & very little detail. It does look like a Spitfire ( from a distance, with half closed eyes! ). If you want a Spitfire float plane, then buy an Italeri Vb, and use the floats & tail extension from the PM kit to convert it!
Decals are OK, BUT the prototype part of the decals disappear against the fuselage.
Thanks to Pete for organising the GB - I hope to be returning to the bench properly in the next few days.................

Very nice Dave,
you certainly beat that kit in to submission and churned out another cracking build..

Nice one Dave. Even with those huge floats underneath, the Spitfire still has some nice curves.

Good finish Dave. Strange looking beastie though, like it’s got size twelve boots on size six feet…..

Dave,

Sorry completely missed this cross the finish line.

That's turned out pretty well considering PM Models' reputation.

Well done.

I don't recall seeing a float plane version built before. Considering the kit you started with you've made a great model.
