Yet to come Paul. As well as the two tread designs there seem to be two different wheels - the 2nd one back on each side looks to have a couple of cut-outs. These aren't shown on the box art or the painting guide.

It could be you’ve mixed the spare wheel in with the others.

Just wondering if that could be to do with weight. The solid wheels at the front compensate for the weight of the gun etc, and the rear two sets are there for the lighter weight of the engine. Just something that twigged a cell during my driving days.

I don't think so as there placement seems random in the few photos where they appear, besides the /2 Puma had more weight on front with turret & 5cm and photos of overloaded /4 I have show no 2holers. Just a case of at hand usage I think. PaulE

After a busy few days with 1:1 stuff, I've done a bit more. I don't think I'll ever get the hang of airbrushing small mottles - whatever I do I seem to get spidering and splatter.



Oh well, it'll look OK from a distance, if you squint a bit.
Added a few more sticky-out bits, and the second fire extinguisher that I'd forgotten:

A bit more hairy stick work needed and then I can put the wheels on.

Looks good mate the odd blemish can be lost with weathering and washes.

Get a hole punch and randomly punch holes around a pre drawn pattern on thin card, I use the card that comes with Eduard etch sets. You cab then euther hold the card or double up some masking tape to hold the card away from the model - gives you a soft edge.
Remember these vehicles were painted in the field as well as the factory, and the ordinary squaddie was not Picaso...

That should do it Pete if your still not happy, I'm with Paul on this, once you have a bit off weathering mud etc it will look perfect .
