Last year was a turbulent time in my RC boat club, the treasurer that had done it for many. many years sadly passed away and it was up in the air as to if we could get someone to replace her, we are all middle aged and older and many have disabilities, illness etc...luckily someone stepped forward and we are whole again.
Her husband was also a major member and made many models over the years, unfortunately he can no longer model or get down to the lake as often as he would like, having no family or children he has decided to get rid of some of his models, they need some work with electrics and a bit of TLC but I am very honoured to be able to own a couple of his models.
All are hand made plank on frame from plans and are lovely finished.
So this is the first: Tystie steam launch.
I have to tidy her up and redo the electrics but to be honest I rather like this as a shelf sitter.
I have also shown an original (if not the best) picture of the real thing.
