Hello again folkes,

To you all who helped with the Tamiya spitfire cockpit wash techniques, a huge thanks. I have now reached the stage, after copious amounts of differing thinning options, colours, experiments etc. I have finally applied the oil wash over the gloss base coat with what i think is a reasonable result. Question:- do I now wait a couple of days for this to cure then apply a matt acrylic (vallejo again) varnish and leave it at that or again follow that with Klear to give a slight gloss finish. Be grateful for your thoughts. thanks again, Pete. pS This could project could well take me into old age!!

Hi Pete, matt it down, you don't want a shiney finish on the interior. The reason they went to the grey/green colour (and later black) was to reduce glare.

Cheers

Thanks again Steve. Makes sense plus using less paint saves covering all that fine detail. What I would'nt give for a decent air brush. hav'nt accrued enough brownie points yet but will keep trying!!

Pete.
