Hi all, this is what i'm going to be up to. Star Wars if it wasn't in the stars, just a quick mock up of the colours. I'll post pics of the model later, i need to get something off the bench first. Got to finish the M10 as i'm lagging behind on it, then it's time to get stuck into this.

Going to be a fun build this one, looks like it is. Yes, hmmm. Oh on, now i'm at it. Not bad, a trekkie doing a Star Wars build thats not Star Wars (if that makes sense).

I'll get some photos up later of the F-14, but i've just had a look and Revell have done a very nice job with the moldings.

PHOTOS!!

Revells very nice F-14D Super Tomcat, i was given this one by a friend plus it only cost him £4. So i don't mind giving it the Star Wars treatment, but the moldings are sooooo nice. I'm excited about this SIG i made a start lol but it's now back in it's box as i've still got the M10 on the bench.

Was thinking of having it 'in flight' Tony, soooo you're on the right lines mate. I'm going to get some figures for it, but this is the fun part. One will be as Mr Skywalker and the guy in the back will be white flight suit with a blue and silver helmet.

Have fun, John

Quick update, i've just ordered some pilots off evilbay so i can have it in flight. Had a silly idea today too, but don't think i'm going with it. It was to have this F-14 side by side with an A-10 painted in as a Y Wing bomber lol, we'll see what mood i'm in when i've finished this one.

Not bad to say i wasn't going to start it yet, the cockpit is getting there.

Hi all, a little more work done. Got the front part of the fuselage glued together and the cockpit is in, seats are ready for paint too. Needed some filling and sanding but it's looking all good, had to make a few parts as i sanded them off (oops). Found these guys working on it too but they were making a right mess, so they're off the project.

Nice looking pit. The droids are awesome. I'm sure they will come in handy. Heavy lifting maybe? LOL. Love the colours on the mock up.

Oh yes they are, the R2D2 HAS to go in a slot behind the cockpit, how can young luke find his way without trusty old R2D2 to help him.

By the way that office is awesome.

Tony.

As much as i'd love to have R2 in the back i think i'd best keep it believable, but thanks for the great comments.

The rule only states it has to be believeble, nothing about not being from the future, so I think having an R2 unit in the back would be perfectly acceptable...:sunglasses2:
