These Revell 'Miniships' are great little kits to build and paint. They have a surprising amount of detail and fit together very nicely. Well worth a punt.

Here's my 1/1200 Bismark heading across the Baltic Sea, and about to meet up with the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen. They will then try and break out into the N. Atlantic......

Photos taken from escorting destroyers... :upside:

That looks superb, you must have amazing eyesight to put something that small together.

Looks great Ron. Love the seascape as well, though some of the waves look a bit urgent :thumb2:
Is this a reissue of one of the old Matchbox 1/1200 ships? I know Airfix did some of the usual suspects but can’t remember what Matchbox did.

Sorry Tim, I haven't a clue. Perhaps someone in the know might just pass by to answer your question........

Thanks again for all your comments.

Hi mate
I stopped being lazy and looked it up on scalemates......it was a Revell release from 1977.....there were a lot of 1/1200 released around then..must have been a bit fashionable for a while......

One suggestion if I may.. you need to do a couple of these pictures in black and white they'd look stunning..

Chris, Jim and 453.
Thanks for the complimentary and humorous comments - and pickie!

Here's a bit of fun.
I've dragged my 1/350 Bismark from the dark depth of the loft and placed it next to my 1/1200 version. As the actress said to the Bishop "My, there is a difference in size with these things, isn't there?!"
