Finally finished the Revell Audi, so here are some photos - I'll try to post some better pics later.

A few problems along the way, but nothing insurmountable. Instructions were pretty vague in places. I left some decals off; there are some tiny Audi logos for the wheel centres, but they're black, which is the colour I chose to paint the wheels! Paints are Tamiya, clear coat is an automotive clear acrylic from Simoniz. Engine cover opens, front wheels are steerable, but not connected to the steering wheel.
Thanks for looking in.

Hi Pete
Very nice. If I win the lottery an A8 would be on my shopping list.

Beautiful job. Short wheelbase, mid-engine V8=many smiles per mile.

Oh dear. The Audi was on a window sill awaiting some brighter weather so I could take some better pics. I was moving some stuff to let a heating engineer have better access to a radiator (it's a long story...) and the Audi took a nosedive onto the radiator valve.

Well, I was just about to bin this - after doing some repairs I couldn't get the body to sit down on the floorpan properly. Had a better look tonight (in between bleeding radiators) and realised the damage was more extensive than I thought. The engine and exhausts had come unstuck, and the engine had moved slightly. I'll have another go tomorrow when the cement has had a few hours to dry.

Well, it wasn't just the engine! I couldn't see what was stopping the body sitting down properly on the floorpan. Eventually I just forced one side down and ran some TET into the join, then did the same on the other side, then the front. It's close to being correct now, except that I cracked the rear wingby being too brutal, and one back wheel is stuck too high in the wheelarch. It can stay like that, I've had enough!

Hope to get back to the Seahawk soon.
