Finally finished my Revell Bussing truck that I started towards the end of last year. Its a large model at around 40cm long. It came in a big box with plenty of big lumps of plastic in it, but overall the detail was pretty soft and generally fairly crude compared to the likes of ICM etc. Lots of clean-up required!

I should have had this finished months ago, but got called back in on my 'summer hours at work around the middle of Feb and other stuff has since got in the way. Built out of the box and painted mainly with Vallejo except for the green body which was a Zero paints colour and went on very nicely.

The kit comes with a 'tarpaulin' which I have not been able to get looking how I would like so for now its not fitted. Here are the pics:

Hi Nick,

I didn't even know Revell made a NAG in 1/24 scale, but I have to say you've nailed this bad boy to a "T". I love the finish and the colors you used. The wood grain color on the side slats is tops Sir!!! Did you use red oxide for the the red? Most excellent work!!!

Nick,
that's a real beauty - I don't think I've ever seen this model before, but that has built up well! - you don't normally associate Revell with this period.............

Thanks Allen. I was trying something new with the wood effect after some advice from much-missed Andy (paintguy) and it worked out pretty well.

I actually sprayed quite a bright red over a black base and it ended up that red oxide colour by accident!

Thank you Dave. I think this and a Krupp truck were originally released some years ago and the Bussing got a limited re-release a couple of years ago. I picked it up at Transport Models in Preston while there on a visit. Good shop.

Thanks to everyone else that has left likes and comments. Its really appreciated. This was my second go with Zero paints and another happy experience.

This is part of the forum I rarely stray into. But I'm glad I did. That is a great looking truck.
