Thanks Vaughan
I will have to look into the Vallejo metallic paint. Very nice finish.

Very deluxe kit and some great solutions to make it a knock out. Love the 30's Luftwaffe.

Stunning work I will follow on if I may:thumb2:
Jim - I have been using Vallejo metal paints for a while and find the Model Air are better than the Model Color. Certainly worth a try mate.

Thanks guys comments appreciated. Small bit of progress, the rotary engine and prop are complete. I've added some medication bubble pack foil to simulate the air intake grills as there was no detail. The exhaust outlet has also been extended with plastic card which makes it more realistic. Next step is to continue with the cockpit and inner frame work.

Very nice Vaughan.

Just one question. How do you people keep your cutting mats so clean and new looking? I could grow spuds on mine!

Ron this is a relatively new mat and I vowed to keep it clean! Mind you I don't know how long it will last.:rolling:

Hi Vaughan,

That engine looks fantastic...think I’ll be investing in some Vallejo metal paints too!

Thanks guys they are really worth it, not cheap but they do go a long way. Make sure you use a black gloss primer to get the full effect.

It's been a while, a long story, but heart issues again!!. A few days ago I got that airbrush out and made a small amount of progress. Hopefully I can keep the momentum going this time with no further health issues getting in the way. Both wings are now primed and a top coat of light olive applied. Interior framework is now complete, just the pilot and navigator seats to add.

Looking good Vaughan. I really like the Vallejo metal colours as well. I’ve got 10 of them so far

Hi all and a Happy New Year (a bit late I know). A slow start to the year, and the end of last year too, but I have made a small amount of progress. Wings are now sprayed in light olive. Decals were very thick requiring a lot of decal soft but conformed to panel lines eventually. These ones were printed in Portugal this must be a first for Revell. Wings weathered with Florys dark dirt clay wash and have also had two coats of Klear. Just a final matt coat to be applied. I'm struggling With the HGW belts so I might revert to getting some Eduard pre painted P.E ones instead. It's the only thing that's holding things up and closing the fuselage.
