First real bash at a larger scale aircraft, most impressed at the finished size of the thing, 24 inch wingspan (ish). I really enjoyed this build.

Painted up reminiscent of "Sicily 1941" found an unusual photo and info on t'interweb and went from there.

Couldn't find suitable markings for this particular aircraft so basically used a mish mash of the in-box decals so it's a bit of a historical registration trauma ... sorry :smiling3:

Anyway hope you like and as usual comments, critisism and advice welcome :smiling3:

Looks good Colin.I also used a mish mash of the kit decals on mine because i messed some of them up whilst trying to fit them to the model.I really enjoyed building mine as well.Although i found after a couple of months sat on a shelf one of the wheel axles gave in and sheared off.So i had to drill and pin the wheels to the axles.Great kit.

Nice job Colin,it is a monster isn't it! It looks good in that unusual camouflage. I hope you've got somewhere to put it.

Cheers

Thanks chaps..

Trey, good point ... i should dull them off.. i used a matt black but when i tried a thickish brown "wash" to get some dirt in the treads they seem to have taken on a bit of a shine ...i'll pick up some dullcoat when i go model shop browsing next week ...thanks.

It is a "biggun", really went together nicely though ... there's apparently 190 odd bits in the cockpit area alone so the reviews say.

Steve ..The camo is a bit unusual, i quite like things a bit "off the norm" though and luckily i have a 36x18x18 vivarium sitting in the living room that had a clear area just big enough for it to sit nicely on top....my problem will be where to put a 36x18x16 "SG1 Prometheus" model i'm doing for the SIG when it's finished :smiling3: :smiling3:
