Looks like this fought you all the way Del. Looks good. I remember building the sistership in '96 but was in 1/32 scale and having introduced to the same kit in 1969 or '70 so the mold is old. I spent extra time on it and redid the interior...yes the fit is iffy but can be worked. Biggest challenge was the large wind screen fit, huge door hinges and circular disc attachment points on the clear parts. Must have been a nightmare for you. You persisted but I'm baffled is it an old kit labeled as a 1/35 scale or a new kit?

Cheers,
Richard

Old kit Rcichard, but I've always wanted to do a chopper and the Vietnam Huey is iconic...unfortunately, not many out there!!

But it's peaked my interest in Choppers!!!

Hi Del
I've only ever built one helicopter and that had problems. Considering your thoughts on this kit it's turned out very well. All credit to you for persevering.

Neither: this is a rebox of a 1:35 scale kit originally by MRC (Model Rectifier Company) from the USA, says Scalemates (it was also reboxed by Fujimi, Italeri and Academy). The old Revell kit was in 1:32 and by Revell itself, but that was a “long” fuselage type, with two windows in the doors. I’ve got a mostly built one of those, and I agree it was a tired, almost awful kit …

It’s come out well despite all the issues Del. Excellent finish.
Mind you, I’ve never made a chopper, and looking at the trials and tribulations on here recently may never make one…..
