Morning all. This is my next build, the 1/76 scale Morris C8 and 17 Pdr from Revell. Another trip down memory lane, I think I last built it when I was about 14. A loooong time ago! I built the jeep a while back but the rest of the kit has been kicking about on the shelf of doom for ages.

And this is where we're at as of this morning. The base is done and the Morris has its first coat of paint. 17 Pdr still under construction.

I've still got an original multi colour Matchbox boxing in the stash

Scottie - Lead Sled used to do a CS8 but it looks like it is discontinued. The radio van is still available MORRIS

Hi Windy,
Imagine how World wide this hobby is. I still have half of this kit having built and modified it to carry a fuel tank...probably no such vehical exists but it was fun and was one of my early scratch builds. Its on one of my dios.
The link is here if you'd like to see it.

Cheers,
Richard

That's really good Richard!

Bit more progress on this. The Morris is done apart from decals and weathering though I might still give it a camo scheme, probably just on the canvas. Here it is with and without the tilt:

Thanks Steve! Nearly done on this one now. I went for a camo pattern on the tilt in the end as it breaks up the monotonous overall drab. Decals are on bar the divisional sign. I thought I had some spare 43rd Wessex Div ones but I'd used them on another build. I need to source some now! I'll probably add a cam net and drag ropes to the gun as well as it's a bit boring at the moment.

Finished! Managed to source some 43 Div Wyverns. I may still add Battery tac signs, cam nets and various bits of stowage but that'll have to wait as I'm off to Okehampton for a fortnight. FML! Anyway, Morris C8 and 17 Pdr of 59th Anti-Tank Regt RA, 43rd Wessex Division, outside a slightly broken baker's shop in Normandy.

Luv it Windy!! Really great work on the smallest of scales. It shows you can still produce lovely builds from these older kits.

Thanks Steve. They're great little kits. A wee bit of flash and some parts needed a bit of fettling but the small scale hides a multitude of sins!
