Hi Tony
Excellent progress. The tint on the canopy looks spot on. Clever way of achieving the effect. The blinged up cockpit is very nice indeed. The Eduard pe was worth getting.

Got the paint on now , light ghost grey for the undersides and tail / cockpit area , dark gunship grey for the uppersides and i didnt have the model air colour for the nose cone so just went with RAF barley grey , it looks very much like the nose colour in photos . Next is a gloss coat and decals then its onto the last few bits . Just caught up with this Tony, it's looking very good. I do like the HUD! Jets are not my thing but having met you I thought I would check out your build.
There's nowhere near where I live or work where I am ever likely to find a kit to buy - never mind at a bargain price!
I'll have to start going to a few more model shows, it seems to be the way forward
Cheers
Neil

Oh, same. The closest shops that carry any modelling stuff at all are over an hour’s travel away from me, and they’re all very limited — none of them is a true model shop.

Right , back off me holidays so this has got a bit further now. Gloss coated and decals on , very nice decals as per Revell usual , the missiles however didnt have anything , so a root through the spare decals box and theyve been jazzed up with various stencils , stripes etc , this took me almost as long as decalling the aircraft ! It makes such a difference though . Cheers tonyEE078A08-5DD3-4554-91DA-35046CB8B02B.jpeg521C4EBC-714F-496E-82E0-9107444E17DA.jpeg

Its now had a final coat of semi matt to seal everything in . Ive de masked the exhaust and applied the 'No Step' decals -2 on each of the six upper exhaust petals and given it a bit of colouring with eye shadow , a blue tint for the ring behind the petals and a dark grey metallic for a bit of heat effect on the petals themselves. Ive also been tarting up the undercarriage a bit , adding brake lines to the main legs and a couple of hydraulic lines to the nose wheel leg. The nosewheel door has had the prominent landing lights added from nail art jewels and some plastic card and the main gear doors have had the strengthening rib and door retraction jacks added again from plastic card and brass rod.The nail art jewels came in handy again for the red and green position lights either side if the intake , the kit ones being lost during sanding of the intake but they were solid plastic lumps anyway .1F72A9FD-EFC0-46DC-885A-2B535C38CEC4.jpeg37F2B984-3D0D-4FC4-A9F3-F5CFA40A342C.jpegF23E8C22-BF21-4C7B-AE70-756F9E2BBE28.jpegDCA79ACE-5E12-4116-B553-65F43E3D259C.jpegB48A0B73-7D97-47EF-975A-CE6556B86615.jpeg0A1260BB-7454-4EB5-BA53-E4CC27AB7E75.jpeg68D97E0E-2D42-45BF-BFDE-03DA5C12F32A.jpeg4A45E890-6709-4BE9-A07F-CE1C0BBF0F95.jpeg1945951D-2F08-49F0-B8D0-2C70A324BD03.jpegits nearly there now ,finished pics coming later , cheers tony

Really coming along nicely.

It's good to see the different methods people use to hold things for paint, I'm learning something new every day here :thumb2:
