The Revell/Zvezda Armata is a very good model - well engineered, and there were no real problems in assembly. Scale thickness of some parts ( i.e. the bar armour brackets ) mean that they are very fiddly & fragile. Whilst the model may be representative of a preproduction vehicle ( it's not even sure that there wll bu full scale production ), it pretty good. I've seen it advertised at <£20, you get a lot of plastic for that kind of money!
J's Works Paper Masks. I haven't had a great deal of success in the past, this time a little better. My conclusion is that they aren't really for tanks, with all their lumps, bumps & cracks. You spend so much time touching up, you may as well have used a brush in the first place!
Finally size comparisons first vs the Zvezda T-90P1060711.JPG
and vs the Zvezda MSTA-SP1060710.JPG
Quite a monster.
Thanks all for dropping by.........
Dave

Looks good Dave, I'm not in to my Russian toys but it looks like it would hold it's own if needed!

Thought the camo came out great. Altogether, fine finishes. Sure has a lot of shot traps. Is their a crew of 3? I didn't see a turret hatch. PaulE

Paul,
the crew all sit in the hull - the turret has no capability of being manned! All done by autoloader, electronics and video! -It all sounds very iffy to me................

Hi Dave

Looking very good indeed. As you say the fully auto thing does sound a bit iffy.

Great build, Dave and nicely painted.
Too much reliance on electronic gizmos me thinks! Not that they ever go wrong, of course......

Sounds like a coffin for four, or more likely a prototype drone tank. PaulE

There were thoughts of tanks like that 30+ years ago. I suspect technology is only now getting mature enough to actually do this reliably.
