I agree.......they appear to be just a tad too broad near the tip of the ear........perhaps just a bit of thinning down might help as well. Rick H.

Thanks with sticking with me on the ears, I have thinned then and narrowed to more acceptable levels, I hope.

N16.jpg

Trust me, a ton of resin has been shaved and burred off that it is thin enough to see through.

N17.jpg

A diamond cutter was used to bore deeper into the ear and smoothen the edges and tip.

It's really taken donkey years to get to this point so I'll be getting on with more stowage and gear starting with latching with rope to secure what's on now. :smiling6:

Cheers,
Richard

Thanks guys...my donkey has grown from a little tyke these past few years. If I take much longer to complete him I would need to add hair dye to stop him from aging further. :tears-of-joy:

Cheers,
Richard

Ooh! Don't hold your breath Steve...much more hesitation and tinkering on the stowage before the wet stuff goes on.

Richard

Just in case you want to know why the donkey has that expression...

N36.jpg

Who likes being lead by a guy in a skirt with an invisible rope...?

That donkey can audition for a toothpaste ad...

Every shot except from the bottom...

Very well done Richard the pose is very natural and "fluid"... love the work on the mouth and ears... plus the equipment looks very "natural" and heavy...

Hi Richard......Greg is spot on, the little "beastie" looks like he is not enjoying his burden at all......very natural and life like. I look forward to seeing how the wet stuff turns out. :thumb2: Rick H.

Excellent loading for your well animated quadruped. This will make a very original little vignette.

Thank you, Greg, Rick, Scottie and John for the lovely comments. I don't know what kept me so long from completing the ears...without the tiny burr drills, it would have stayed that way. The mule sure isn't enjoying the extra load.

Did this just now and waiting for it to cure...rolled putty and teased to shape.

N49.jpg

The handles make them look like two ladies with their hands on their hips. :smiling2:

The Bedouin received some sandals with the left over putty. You'll find him at the North African build post.

Cheers,
Richard
