I was going to build that 1/72 £4.99 Dragon Bradley I bought at Cosford, but there's not enough time left. So..........

As this G.B. finishes at the end of June, I'd better make a start!

It's the Russian ZIS-5 Truck and a 37mm A.A. Gun.

Here are the obligatory box shot, sprues and proof of price photos.

You cant get much better than a fiver! Looks like there are enough pieces for the carpet monster to keep you on your toes. Good luck:thumb2:

I've never heard of PST before. It's a Russian make of kit.
I feared the worst, but what a surprise! A few hours in the Currant Bun today - Snip Snip - Plink Plink and it's ready for painting.

Ron 1 / Carpet Monster 0.

Here's the result.

....a bit of gardening / a bit of model making - and repeat!

Here's the A.A. Gun as good as finished. I've painted the detail (Tyres and ammo etc.) then given the whole model a bit of a dusting. I can't add figures, even if I wanted to, 'cos that would bring the overall cost to over £5.

I will fettle it a bit more once the accompanying truck is made.

That is looking very good Ron some surprisingly good detail.

Thanks Ian.
For such a small scale, and from a relatively unknown make, I'm well pleased with the kit(s)

That's turned out very nicely. I think I mentioned at Cosford that I'd got a couple of PST kits in my stash which looked pretty good in the boxes. Nice to see they should build up OK - that's if they ever make it to the top of my 'to do' pile!

Brush painted and well used ZIS-5 completed. I'll post this and the A.A. gun side by side soon.

You didn't waste any time there Ron! Any dramas or issues in the build?

Thanks chaps.
Yes, it did go together very quickly. I'm not a speed merchant, it just kind'a fell together.

Dave. No issues really. Both kits are fairly soft plastic, so, the snipping and cleaning up has to be done carefully. My main gripe was the cheapskates didn't include any window glass for the truck cab. Not a big issue, and soon sorted. Apart from the lack of figures for the gun, they're a couple of nice 1/72 kits.

I'll post the finished build asap.

Thanks again.
Ron
