Hello folks,

I had intended to do a trilogy with this ship, but after all the work I did on her initially, I just couldn't bring myself to do the last part......!?

So I've sort of combined the two to finish off.

The ship has spotted a Blue Whale in the icy waters and has lowered her sails. Two cutters are lowered to chase the whale and harpoon it when it surfaces. However, all does not go to plan.

The whale has wrecked one boat leaving the surviving crew stranded on the iceflow, the wounded whale has turned on the other boat with devastating results......

The first boat survivors watch in horror as their shipmates are pulverised....

Soon be back on board, and warm again.

The crew on board the ship can only watch the fury of the whale attack.....

Sunset, and a calm descends. The whale wins the day. Time to recover the dead seamen.

The full diorama.

I hope you like this imaginary saga. I had a great time trying to make the whale attack look summat like....All good fun!

Cheers all,

Ron

There's only one word to describe this. Alas, it's usually overused but not in this case!

That's AWESOME!

Superb, youre imagination and vision never cease to amaze Ron. The way you have captured the moment is just like looking at a snapshot photograph. I imagine this sort of scenario was a commonplace occurence when whalers used to manually chase the whales at close quarters. As always your skill and eye for a scene are absolutely first rate, truly a great build, cheers tony
