Hi Si, this looks a very decent Kit. :thumb2:
My Bronco StuG has the same type of tracks and the little Track Jig also.

Sorry Mr Benson for late arrival.
Taking my seat next to James. Any chance of some of your mince pies and a cup of tea please.

I’m informed it’s a bit tricky in places but a good kit :thumb2:

Not late at all Mr race :smiling4: It’s still in its box. I’m still busy playing with wingy things...I think I showed you?
1:48 Eduard Bf109...

Since the above pictures I’ve been weathering with oils and enamels.

Below is a 1:72 Airfix Bf109. I needed something to practice some stuff on like weathering and the new Tamiya lacquer clear flat coat varnish on.
It had a dark wash, some pigments and oils here and there.

Also wanted to try out some techniques for grassy base making. I got all the stuff but don’t use it often enough!

Going to try to make something similar for the 1:48 bf109...........got my eye on a set of figures that Santa might get for me:smiling4:.

Hope to start on the StuG in the new year as I’ve got 3 builds in various stages at present, and I’m not crazy enough to break into another box of plastic, tempting as it may be :smiling5:

You place about 5 tracks in the jig, the track pins are on a sprue, so you gently insert the pins in the tracks in the jigs, cut off the pins and a touch of glue on the pin. Fiddly and time confusing!!

Hi Bob

Sorry for the late reply, but thank you for the description!

Thanks John :smiling4: There was a lot of masking involved...well for me there was!
The paint scheme was a mixture of hard and soft edge and a lot more challenging than the armour I’m used to!

Hi chaps,
Not much time for modelling so far this year..I’ve slowly been putting this together over the last few months and finally managed to paint over the week.

The tracks are waiting for paint and some muck then I can get her fully assembled.

Thanks very much chaps...:smiling4:

Made a simple base for the StuG. It gave me an excuse to try some new static grass and play with some sculptamould and some other bits and stuff :nerd:

I took a few cheeky daylight pictures which has made it look almost blue :surprised: Trust me it isn’t,

Lovely modulation, lends a very nice effect. Since you left the hatches open, will you be doing any crew members to man this Beauty?
