Hi Simon
Figures do look nice. No where near as much choice at this scale.

Jim - these are Squad48 by ArtofWar and they are really well sculpted. There are of course loads of Tamiya figures but they tend to be a bit small and in some of the sets they are all kinds of weird sizes. The equipment with them always looks good though

Hi John - lots and lots. I just chip away as the fancy takes me until something reaches paint :smiling5: The T18 is winning so far being small

I'm looking at ways of covering detail during the painting stages to avoid unnecessary layers of paint. The figures are really impressive. Its gonna be a lovely little dio all round

Yes John, same mix as the T18 base - Sculptamold (£11 at Amazon) with brown powder paint added

A touch of the Belgian Coarse Pate about it but I'm sure it will paint well. Good to hear it has not cracked or shrinked

mixed up some AK ground texture paste with pigments and spread it about with a brush

liberally sprinkled it with Javis desert ground scatter (which is probably just an expensive way of buying builders sand)

knocked off the loose sand and then pressed vehicle in

it will get paint and pigments to try and blend it all together

Base has come out really well. Very impressive. The vehicle is certainly loaded down. Will there be a figure on the base?
