Thanks guys - even for the 2 'thumbs up"!

i agree I need to work on photographing them, I'll have to play around with the camera settings.

i may not be ble to do any actual modelking for a while, but I have an idea. Using Word I printed pages with a number of 5cm x 5cm squares which I am using to plan some more little dioramas.

the drawings are pretty basic but placing the vehicles on the squares allows me to decide the composition and plan the best way to approach building them.

Hi all

back to the small dioramas - this time an Allied HQ scene. This time I used vehicles and figures by Baccus which produce 6mm figures and vehicles, about 1/300 scale. the building is also from Baccus.

The vehicles are not as good as GHQ range, but Baccus do produce figures for pretty well all periods of history. I do have a small set of Napoleonics!

i produced it over the weekend, great fun. Next up will be some involve more detailed ground work - buildings and bridges.

Like it!!......isn't there much difference between 1/300 and 1/285 scale? I assume you do not mix these two scales as I presume the difference would be noticeable. ;)

Hi. guys

A very productive week, not only finishing my pool table but also these three dioramas:

the first is a conversion - all of the log carpet equipment was scratch built. i tried to make the base look like the transition between wet sand and dry sand. its ok but not great - might re-visit it in future.

I much prefer this one - two tanks, one carrier and a couple of infantrymen approaching a railway embankment.

this one ins my favourite of the three - the two levels seem to work well:

All vehicles and figures are from GHQ.
the tarmac on the road is very fine wet'n'dry sand paper.

Great work Peter. Really great work.

I used to game a bit in 1/300 and so know how very small these are. Very well done indeed.

I think they are marvellous Peter. So much in such a small space. Similar dios in 1/35 or even 1/72 would need a great deal of space so virtually impossible.

hi Guys

A couple more completed. this time I have tried scene with ruined buildings. I used a couple of buildings which are aimed at the wargaming market. They are ok, but not great in terms of details nd I think my rubble is a bit large in areas. A bit of a learning curve on these.
