I wasn’t going to start this with a GB looming ever closer but couldn’t resist. The parts are definitely better so far but you do have to read the instructions closely for part numbers where there are similar parts for opposite sides of the chassis so you don’t get them the wrong side. Pics soon

Looks interesting. Seems relatively simple for its size…..good start though.
Hi Tim, its quite a rugged model and goes together nicely and not a massive parts count especially as the whole dumper part is one piece. Only one minor problem I've come across but like all my builds I didn't just rush in and start gluing as you'll see below.

If any of you happen to build this kit here's a heads up where sprue guy and instructions guy weren't on the same page.
This is the construction of the hydraulic ram for lifting the load. As you can see the largest pair of segments numbered 20 and 21 F have a spigot on them for attaching to brackets on the trailer, however these parts aren't actually moulded like that. At first I thought they had not moulded correctly but no great shakes they could be sorted but I looked through the other sprues and found the parts on separate ones, parts 18B Now I can crack on and get the chassis ready for some paint.

Main parts of the trailer now ready for the paint shop, time to strip it down and start tomorrow. There are about a dozen small parts to attach after I’ve painted them. A couple of pics before paint.

Hi Mick
Glad it's better than the tractor unit. Looks very impressive all hitched up.
