Ifound this kit in a model shop............it was £12 ............ aven't made anything out of balsa since I was a kid so I thought I'd have a go........ Maybe one day I'll stick a motor and some minature remote control in it and take off to the pond...... and for scale it's 13" long.

Cheers to all

Peter

Lovely job it is as well. I'm sure when you get it sealed and a good covering the model won't even look like balsa. It will probably shift as well with a reasonable sized motor in it.

Just goes to show we can still have pleasure from the simplest of materials.

I guess my photography is worse than I thought............ I spent hours on the sealing, painting and flatting down between coats before I put that semi gloss topcoat on...........:darn::darn::darn:

Its not your paint work Peter, I think Richard cant find his glasses.

I can see that you have given it a nice shiny white finish!

I have a half built hydro in the shed, but thats over a meter long!!
