Hi all,
Hope everybody is well... sorry I haven’t posted in a while... been busy with other things!
I did find time to complete a couple of busts... I have liked this figure since
Peter Day posted his version some time back. Apparently it’s boy soldier based on the practice of soviet troops of adopting orphans as mascots as they advanced.
Just about finished so hope you like it.
Thanks
Jason

Excellent painting, the skin and shaved head especially, though I must admit to finding the subject a little disconcerting.

Yep, agreed Jason. It’s no different to the nineteenth century practice of recruiting drummer boys or boy sailors, but still doesn’t seem right.
