The truck bed is all together and painted and I'll be using the canvas top as it is pretty well shaped and textured, there was no instruction as to the colour of the canvas so I painted it in revell aqua 362 greyish green, seems a good contrast to the 4bo of the truck which I used mission models paint, love there paint I dreaded airbrushing until I tried this stuff . :smiling:
Pretty much a case of varnishing everything now and on to the final fit up. Bit more engine detail to add when the cabs on.20210716_215826.jpg20210716_215705.jpg20210716_220101_Richtone(HDR).jpg

Thanks Andy, think my liking for trucks must come from being around them when I was young,my dad had an hgv repair and recovery business.

There were no dash decals with this kit so did what I can, fill the dials in black and drybrushed silver edges, added what detail I could, won't really be seen anyway.20210720_213728.jpg

Drop a spot of gloss clear coat on each one.....when dry it will give a very convincing glass lens look to your gages. Just thinking out loud Mark.....nice detail work on that dash. Rick H. :thumb2:

Looking good Mark, Rick has a good idea there. At least he has said it early enough so you could do it , rather than after :smiling3:

Hi Mark
A lot of very neat, precise work. All looking very good. Dash has come out well. Well done getting the bonnet to fold back into the open position. That engine is worth being seen.

Had a go at the throttle cable from the linkage rod to the carb, would have been easier had i added parts before putting the whole engine together but I only planned the plug leads anything else is an after thought !! :smiling:
