As I knew the weather would be mixed on the North West Coast of Scotland, I took this kit with me for 'Rainy Days' - I'm glad I did!

There is a choice of two versions in the box. The British 6th Airborne or the U.S.Army 4th Div.

I have two of these kits, so I'll do the American first then see how things pan out.....

Hi Ron
The wanderer returns. Hope you had a nice break despite the weather. This must be tiny at 1/72.

Thanks Jim. It's good to be back. Having lived on the Outer Isles I'm sure you know the meaning of 'Mixed' weather!

Nice to have the wind and rain follow me home, so I've made a bit more progress on the jeep.

Just the windscreen to add. It's a nice little kit.

.... a bit of cleaning up to the a**e end, me spots!

I've brushed on the supplied little pot of Olive (insert your own choice of colour name) acrylic paint. Grey/blue for the tyres and a canvas colour for the seats.

Jim, this nicely shows the size of the vehicle.

Next I'll add the windscreen etc. and then paint the detail a bit sharper.

Cheers.
Ron

I built the normal (non-Airborne) version of this a few years ago, and it’s a really good kit. Fiddly, but I like it. Yours looks good too :smiling3:

Thanks chaps. Nice to be back.

Rick H - It'll be a stand alone on completion then I'll place it and some troops in a bombed out village.

Windscreen added and canopy frame added. Colour detail cut in a bit more with a fine pointed brush - and a bit more cleaning up to do.

Looks very good Ron, are you doing the British Airborne version next?
