Peter,
Apart from the included brush what would be the permitted tool list or could I use whatever tools I wanted as long as no extra materials are used?

Tools permitted will be the minimum of what is needed ie : knife, spure cutter and sanding stick or what ever you have to hand but it has to basic.

Dave - good find on that TKS, I like them. Just been having a look though and they don't include glue outside Poland

A bit more searching, and a surprising model is sold with paints, brushes & glueView attachment 321182
Hataka paints at that!
Dave
Is that one a pure starter kit or just a normal kit with paints included as it must say on the box starter set or equivalent.
And to clarify the rules a bit further it must be no bigger than the 1\72 scale but it's not limited to aircraft, tanks and cars the Revell 1\1200 ships can join in.

Don't think I shall bother with this one thanks

I would just note that limiting it to 1/72 or smaller means you won't be seeing any cars as they are 1/32

My fault as I forgot about the cars I have done plenty so I should have known.
So once again it's any starter set that says starter on the box regardless of the scale but with Revell it says model set.
Scales to be included are 1\72,1\76,1\32,1\1\44 and 1\1200
Or any box that have paints and glue included in the kit.
So sorry If I am starting to confuse people.

Translation of the Polish ---
"starter kit ( quick assembly ) contains glue, paint and brush"
Hannants & others say glue included.

I was going by IBG website which says overseas will not have glue - guess it depends on their definition of overseas and whether suppliers are importing Polish version
May be best to check before purchasing as it could be a tad difficult holding all the parts together if glue not supplied :smiling:

Hi Peter
In your initial post you say the build will last for 3 months. Do you know yet which 3 months?
In our Aldi they have starter kits for £4.99 which would suit this I think.

Any starter kit is suitable so it's a case of pick what you like.
And in order to give people time to find a kit I will go from April to July.

My problem is that starter sets over here are about as common as hens teeth. I think I have seen them once in 30 od years!!!

Hi Peter
I'll give it a go. No guarantee I'll finish it but I'll give it my best shot. This will be my attempt although how on earth you paint the pilots face with the colours provided I don't know

If it does end up in the bin it was only £4.99 from Aldi. It is certainly a very unusual GB.
