Update,
Had a look through the instructions last night to see what needed to be done in the near future - turned a couple of pages and came across this...
20210425_112820.jpg
.... you have got to be kidding me, I have just done 10+umpteen and thought to myself how kind they have given me loads of spares....:tongue-out3:
20210425_112719.jpg
As you can see the location points are all there....
20210425_124457.jpg
Progress made - half way.....:unamused:
Also on the menu were the blocks for the track guards.... first the attachment points...
20210425_112736.jpg
... I tried to do this by numbers, but in the end went from left to right on the instructions...
20210425_121114.jpg
.... as you can see there are location indentations for the blocks, but I went along with a drill and made these deeper before adding the blocks themselves...

I have also done more work on the hull itself, adding the engine mesh covers over the grills from after market, but the ones with the kit will do just as well, the fuel tank drum brackets and the snorkel. Again I was not happy with the 'rubber' snorkel part so made a new one from tube, wrapped with tissue....
20210425_112649.jpg
... and used a couple of the kit track links with the ends drilled out...

The brackets/straps holding the snorkel come with the kit.
Had a test run of the top track guard to check the fit and all is well, unfortunately the drive sprocket and idler wheel will have to be added before paint but not a problem.

And that is where I am at today, still plenty more to do.
Mike.

Small correction: that’s the unditching log you’re talking about. The snorkel is carried on the rear of the turret.

Yes Mike......then take a "time out" on the naughty steps for 10 minutes. :tongue-out3: :tongue-out: looks like you are moving this along at a fair clip....I will have to stay vigilant if I don't want to miss anything. Rick H.

Once I get onto more blocks that will slow it down.

Update.
The hull is now complete and ready for primer...

As you can see I just had to get rid of the plastic flexible tube and replaced it with lead wire (solder). the front idler wheel and drive sprockets were added as these will not go on after the side skirts are in place.
As it is now actually in primer and drying the time has come to complete the turret.

98, yes 98 of the little dears, all added and not one lost, this shot was taken during the fitting of the 'fuel pipes' from the drums. I decided to let the c/a fully harden before doing more work on the hull, so added the little brass items.
And that is it for now,
Mike.

Excellent fine work here. Looks like you get a fair whack for your money with this kit!
