Apart from anything else, it was the dearest car on the market, and didn’t have any windscreen wipers.....utter insanity.....
OK then, sticking with the ugly car thread.....

You guys sure like your cars ugly :smiling3: Some searching leads me to suspect this is a Ford X-2000.

Impressive that they made a half-decent looking spaceship based on that for inspiration :smiling3:

Not sure what the question is, but are we looking at a picture of a recreation of the 1936 Olympic torch marathon?

The question is the same as usual in this thread: what are we looking at here? It’s not an olympic torch relay, but if it was wet enough in 1936 it might be a good recreation of that :smiling3:

No, it’s not. You’re looking at a means of transportation.

To be honest, it looks like he is sat on a tractor of some sort.....the exhaust/air intake is in about the right place. On the other hand, the way he is looking at the exhaust, it may have come loose....

The thing at left in the picture isn’t an exhaust. Quite the opposite, in fact. The exhaust is what’s causing the bubbles behind the chap.

So that thing sticking up is the air inlet, and I assume it’s a one man vehicle or the rest of crew would be wearing aqualungs.....and he looks like he is wearing a frogmen balaclava.....so is it some sort of one man chariot type submarine running on diesel?

It’s not one-man — it’s actually a five-seater.

So are the other four on board, but submerged, or is it one man running a five seater vehicle, like some sort of jeep?
