After a long 'leave of absence' due to time restraints and lack of mojo, have had my eye on this one for a long time, so will keep you posted. Had some difficulty obtaining one, due to low stocks, but got there in the end.
Will show progress from time to time, but as usual. the mould quality looks superb. Masking, PE all included, along with small screws, magnets and metal shafts.
Cheers
Alun

A further update, thanks Ron and Steven for looking in.

Closed up the fuselage halves, office complete except for gunsight. Easy closing, absolute brilliant fit, another Mr T triumph.
Also started on engine and turbo, lots of detail and well engineered, really enjoying this one.
Cheers
Alun

Evening All,
Thanks for looking in, and comments left. Fernando, Joe, Colin, Steve and Jim, it is nice to be back in business.
Been working on the engine, the detail is awesome, have built the frame for engine mounting, just the 'plumbing' to add. The engine screws on to the fire wall/ bulkhead, some magnets and metal plates added for engine covers, very small magnets attached, but my tools keep jumping on to them when close, so quite strong.
Have done a dry run with engine mounting, all seems to fit perfectly.
Very impressed with the Tamiya quality, but it now seems the norm for them.
Cheers
Alun

Evening All,
A quick update:- engine is complete, a few small touch-ups to be done. There are 2 magnets in the underside tank, one in the top, and some metal plates built into the subframe to pick-up magnets in the engine covers.
The wing assemblies are in progress, along with flaps, ailerons, tail control surfaces, and rear wheel. A dry fit of the wing and fuselage, and it fits together like a glove, stunning quality.
More soon,
Cheers
Alun
