Ive always fancied doing an 88 in platform status but never have got round to doing one.
This exceptional example has changed my mind and I'm going to get one for my stash.
I really do like your use of colours and weathering. A truly fine example.
How was the fit any issues to be concerned with.

Really do like this

Regards

Thanks for your positive comments everybody.
Robert there are a few issues with this kit but it was issued in the 70's and most issues are quite easy to correct with a bit of filler. I'm not sure if the Afrika corps version that Tamiya released is a reboxed kit or a new mould it may be worth looking at.

Really do like this

Pardon my language Colin but bloody well done!!! :smiling3:
This kit will be added to my stash as soon as possible! Preferably a couple of them to make a nice diorama!

Just one question: is this 35017, the kit from 1972? (perhaps with some new parts?)
Looks way better than my wonky 70's Tamiya Panther Aufs.A that's awful - and made at a later date than your Flak 88.

Thanks jens . yes it is the original kit there's a lot of inaccuracies with it, but at less than half the price of other manufacturers I can live with them. The only scratch built parts I added were some mounting brackets and a locking arm for the outriggers. There are some ejector pin marks on the inner face of the shield and some small sink marks on the pedestal. Which are easy to fix.
Definetly worth a punt mate.
