Hi Jim.
Good to see you back.
She's looking spot on and easily recognized as your work.
Granddaughter good with a dozer, well done to her.:thumb2:
Thanks John, am doing ok but I think I'll be taking a bit of a rest for a week or two,
have pretty much caught up and will let the boys do the finishing touches
before taking on any new projects because moving equipment around can be quite expensive in itself.

Work I have shuttled off to others will be done to MY satisfaction or there will be hell to pay.
plus a nice finders fee is required.

I have a side project coming along which will be part of "Jim's winter wonderland" series.
Some old dust shelf denizens to be re-furbished in winter camo and set in a snowy scene.
Not so much about the base but concentrating on the vehicles themselves.

Already have a few made up for the series that have been posted in the past.
Should be posting "Wooly Mammoth" soon.

Thanks as always for your kind attention,

Jim

UPDATE:

Trailer.
Please excuse my primitive cave man like style, but it all works out in the gritty end,

Since one can only put 20 pics per post here's a continuation.
Been working on recovery vehicle in preparation for dio, Sgt. "Big T" Thompson up top wearing
his 'Pa's' lucky Missouri mule skinners hat, and impatient 'Vinny' from Brooklyn N.Y wearing his
baseball cap.

Both hats were scratched up from a desert storm sun hat and a German field cap.
There are also some usual suspects rounded up for various duties loading up Sherman,
I'm sure a bit of butchering should get them somewhere where they need to be,
we'll see how things come along,

Base for dio will be 20 inch by 30 inch foam board tripled up for strength but still light as a feather.
That way it won't hurt so bad when the Missus whacks me over the head with it for making
yet another huge dio.

I had originally wanted to turn our dining room table with both leafs in, into a complete village court yard
replete with "several" vehicles a church tower and about a company's worth of men doing various things.

I told the wife we only need two tray tables for us and we can have all future family functions and holiday meals at
one of the kid's houses.

Refer back to pic of head bump...:face-with-head-bandage:

Why do they always resort to violence when it comes to defending what they perceive as their territory? I made the mistake of setting up my Marklin trains on the dining room table one Christmas for the kids......after that event I invested in a 4X8 sheet of plywood with removable legs and set it up in the family room thereafter. Hi Jim
Superb and in your very personal style. Love the hats :tongue-out3:
Sometimes the female of the species can be most unreasonable.

They give no credit for a good plan well thought through.

I don't get it either, I have a cold storage mini loft in one of the out buildings and only display newer and certain special
projects in the house.

The fireplace mantel is strictly off limits (kids and grand kid pics only!).......

In answer to your question of why they always resort to violence is because they know they can beat us up!

Jim,
This is heading for great things some lovely builds mate.
Thank you so much Paul, I don't quite know what kind of a setting I will settle for,
am thinking of an urban intersection with a lot of cobble stones and side walks.

I have some Tamiya telephone poles somewhere and some downed power lines laying about would add a lot or detail.
Maybe some low stone walls and some shattered fencing about or something or other, but no tall structures
so as to not block out main focus of dio.

Will keep everyone posted from time to time as schedule permits, things should be slowing to a mad rush soon,
so maybe just a bit of time for modeling (hopefully)

Jim.
