Hi , while sifting through some images I found this one quite interesting. Just magnify the image and you will find it amusing that detailing art on a 1:1 aircraft needs the right stuff.

Don't know if this has been posted before but sure is interesting to know if the paint is weather and speed tested proof.

Cheers,
Richard

Interesting image Richard. Tamiya obviously works for him. Personally I think it’s great for spraying, but horrible for brush painting......nice to know it sticks well though.

Hi Tim, I think he had the original batch where it was still brush paintable. I still have some of these around and it works. Forget about the later formula...as said horrible for brush painting.

Cheers,
Richard

Ah, OK. I think I was still on humbrols at that time......I’ve never had Tamiya paint that could be brushed. Quite surprised he isn’t using tube acrylics really though....still a great image.

Great picture. He obviously modelled as a kid, then got to play with the real thing when he grew up (or didn't, like most of us here)..
