Cracking on with my Birthday gifts this is the third German plane from Revell. This kit is much nicer then the last one I made the moldings are clean and neat with no bad joins so I am assuming its a more recent model. Interesting how some of the Revell kits are really neat and others are a bit rough round the edges must be older kits.

Any way on with the build. Here is the kit and box art.

The much maligned Bf 110. Its reputation seems to have suffered a bit like our own Hurricane but it was a very good aeroplane.

I seem to remember this being a recent release which would explain the fit!

Cheers

Yes Steve, this one was bought for me for my birthday I would have gone for a Junkers maybe but it looks like a really nice kit to build and I am beginning to like these 1:72 scale models, at least I have room for lots of them.

Seem to remember the airfix one was nearly the first kit I built as a kid. Done in a day and painted using some old left over paint from my Dads shed, loved every minute of it.

Enjoy your build.

Tony.

Great topic for the next project Mark. One of the great war planes of all time in all its various guises. You have quite the production line going! Looking forward to seeing the result.

Nice aircraft choice. Love the look of the 110 and the the fact it was used so widely gives you plenty of choices for paint.

Thanks guys, I really must get my self some different glue for the cockpits I messed up on this one and had to spend ages polishing and buffing to get the cockpit back to shape again but hopefully it wont be too bad once its been painted. The masking on this one is really fiddly thought I had it right then realized I was missing a whole row of small windows sigh..

All finished think I will need a break after this one but lots of lessons learned with the build. Really must take more time over the canopy. I was going to order some of the future floor polish to dip the canopy in and make it nice an shiny and get some clearfix glue so I do not get that horrible smearyness from my normal glue.

Any way here it is my 3rd German plane completed, I am absolutely loving making these models its so nice to sit back and look at them when there finished all in a row on my desk.

Here are the final pics.

Fantastic job Mark. This was a one day build? There is a new one every time I log on!

Great work mate. Talk about fast building. I'm still getting the wings together. Hahaha. Still is a great effort and a nice looking 110.

Thank you chaps, its all a learning process I was disappointed at the canopy and my rubbish gluing but I have learned a few lessons from all that and will put them into practice on my next build coming soon.
