Well hi again....
The Honda didn’t scratch that itch, so on to my next one....Tamiya again, the Suzuki GS 1100 Katana....

Personally I wouldn’t like to ride this one...I think engine performance had got away from brakes and handling at this point....looks wise the small faring screams 80’s.....the est looks OK though....
Sprue shots then....

Mudguard, swing arm and drop bars....

Engine and wheels....

Black sprue, exhaust pipes, air box etc....

Chrome and clear bits.....and small decal fret. I didn’t bother with the rubber bits, they are obvious.
Sprues on this one look better than the Honda, not as old I suppose....
I am on a break in Devon, so cleaning up will happen slowly, as will updates, as much for the rural broadband as the leisurely work schedule....
See you all soon...
Tim

Tim,
I made this last year - like all Tamiya bikes, it fits together well, and looks good - apart from the metal screws holding the wheels!.
For some reason, I had difficulty with the silver finish, and had to redo it before I was happy - but then applying the decals, I ended up with showing the carrier film against the silver finish! Oh well - just as well I got it at a decent price!
Good luck with yours!
Dave

Thanks Dave.
For a finish like this I will polish the paint with Tamiya finishing compound before adding decals...should eliminate slivering. It worked well on the Honda......Price was good on this one as well by the way...

Hi Paul
Looks a bit simpler than the Honda. Mould lines are much less pronounced and not many ejection pin divots to fill that I can see...so clean up should be quicker. Don’t like the chrome shocks though, much cruder than the other one, so might need to scratch build some new ones.....
