The Savoia-Marchetti S55 should fit nicely into this thread.

And I believe that Dora wings are bringing out a 1/72 version.

The Yak-25 doesn’t really scream “beautiful plane”:

latest

But the Yak-28 is even worse:

Yak!!! It looks horrible Jakko. Those attachments look like flotation devices incase they ditch.

Cheers,

How dare you , i take that as a personal insult! :smiling5::tongue-out3: The yak 28 is one of my favourites actually and ive made both these aircraft in 1/72 from the quite challenging Amodel kits. I reckon chris nailed it with the shorts sturgeon , especially the one with the droopy moose like nose!!! Cheers tony

Favourite ≠ beautiful :smiling3: I’m quite fond myself of a number of planes and things that are not exactly much to look at.

To be fair some of the yak 28 variants had all sorts of bits nailed on and did look a bit crowded ! My personal fave is the 28 p intercepter , much cleaner lines

A good thing you didn't ask for the best looking. I think you would have ended up with 100 pictures of Spitfires and Me 109E

Nope. The Su-27 Flanker B would get that title (in the modern day category)

I can't believe some of the pictures I've just seen. I'm off for a lie down, in a dark room, with Brandy - it's a drink, not a lady.
