I have an AFV Club Scorpion ready to paint and want to do it in UN white. Does anyone have any tips, ie shall i put a dash of blue in the white and what is the best colour for pin washes etc.

White must be the most challenging colour to do.

Many thanks in advance

I am not an armour builder, but when I do white I just go for it straight out the container. As for washes I would recon a slightly darker grey will blend nicely.

The UN helos and armour I have seen used here in Africa does not look "prestine white" for to long, the duse makes them look brown very soon and when it rains it becomes muddy quickly.

No idea if that helped you atall.

Paint the vehicle in the original colours first, though, as the white was sprayed over them on the real thing.

Then you can chip the white to show the base colours.

The mud and dirt show up a lot more on the white vehicles.

Google UN vehicles and I`m sure you will see plenty of examples of weathered white.
