Here it is then:

Today, I painted and added all of the equipment, made a strap for the M16 and stuck him on a base. I used 1/10 scale decals for the smoke grenade, so the lettering is slightly over-scale, but better than anything I could hand-paint. Simon T will also be pleased to see that I tried to represent the yellow lettering on the fragmentation grenade.

Morning Peter

Great finish with all the details on the equipment.

Are you sticking with figures or back to busts?

It must be bad for flooding up't North, as King Boris has visited

Have a good day with your next project

I'm off to clear my desk for photos of a T 34 in the Yemen!

Regards

Steve - Morning. I see Bozzer didn't manage to turn back the tide. No flooding here, but wet and cold and I've now got an ear and throat infection - yay! Looking forward to seeing the T-34.

I still have a couple of Verlinden figures that Richard P gave me, and I find I'm drawn to them, so next will be a US soldier, Desert Storm. I have some lovely busts in the stash, but I regard them as a treat to be savoured.

Ian - Very pleased that you like him. Thanks for looking in.

I especially enjoyed this one Peter, something different and modern, well more modern than my WW2 !
Beautifully painted .

Pete - Thanks. I find the equipment the most enjoyable part to paint.

Scottie - Nine thumb's-up will do very nicely thank you.

Totally missed this one Peter. Great to have a read through. A very interesting blog. Would your two latest Vietnam figures look out of place together or would they have not been seen together historically speaking??
