Tim - Cheers.

Neil - Ooooh yourself {cheers!}.

Steve - Blue trousers with two thick red lines on each side, and yes, I was considering making them lighter than the jacket. A quiet day, (wife at work, son at college} so should get a bit of painting done.

Andrew and Ralph - Many thanks.

I've now got the legs done:

As you can see, I've gone for the blue trousers with red stripes - there should probably be at least four of the latter on each sider, but two on each was tricky enough, and we'll let artistic license take up the slack.

Hells Bells, give a man time to get comfortable Peter, just sat down and your done.
Love the buckle you did, most effective as the red piping.:thumb2:

Neal - A five-dayer, about right for a Verlinden 120mm.

Mick - Thank you. Nearly there.

John - Not finished yet. Another day should do it, but you have time to take a seat and have a coffee.

Morning Peter

The trousers do look good, and excellent stripes too, well done

Looks like a finish today with the accessories and the base?

A nice day today too, before Storm Alex arrives and several days of stormy rain ahead!

Time to start the search for the next victim?

Have a good day with the paints

Regards

Morning Steve, from a wet and stormy Garden of England.

This should get finished today. The accessories are fairly simple, except for the water bottle straps. which need careful aligning. I'm going to use a pre-used base, to save a bit of effort.

The next victim is a new Life Miniatures 1/16 figure, which is on order, and which I'm pretty excited about.

Have a good day in the home office.

Peter.

Hi Peter
He looks excellent. The braiding on the jacket is beautifully done and really adds to the look.

Many thanks Jim.

He's done:

All the fiddly stuff today, which always takes longer than I think it will. Things weren't helped by the fact that I knocked him over at one point and lost the bayonet to the carpet monster - fortunately I had a spare. The base is an old Verlinden one with grass tufts added. Once fixed in place I dusted him up slightly with pastels

A very suave Zouave!

Nice one

Morning Peter

Lovely finish, to a very colorful figures, they always look good even for a 3rd one.

Looks like Storm Alex is going to give us all a good dousing or the next few days!

I have a virtual training day today, that should be fun!

Enjoy the next victim

Tim - Thank you.

Neil - Thanks also funny man.

Steve - Storm Alex is raging away outside, but hopefully we'll get some respite here in the South East over the weekend. I hope so, as we're off to visit my granddaughter in Lewes tomorrow. As I'm going to be away for a couple of days, I may not start anything new, but we'll see how bored I get. Virtual training should be fun - not!

Ralph - Cheers.

John - Thank you. Glad you like him.

Andrew - I do need to touch up a couple of rough points which I noticed last night, but I'm quite pleased with how he turned out.
