Vintage HO Bachmann F3 Shell on New Bachmann Spectrum Chassis B&O Railroad Custom Painted/Decaled.

Before I quit HO a few years back I acquired some Bachmann spectrum powered chassis and several old F unit 1970s shells. I would play around with them to see how many I could fit the Newer Powered Chassis. Apparently I could fit them all with some minor surgery to the shell. Here’s a F3 currently working on now that I painted and decaled. Still needs a lot more details added as I go along. The Paint Scheme I chosen is kinda rare one before they switch to the solid Blue with the yellow stripe in 1963. This is what I have so far. Hope you enjoy it. 1A4F48F4-09C6-43DF-ADB4-5350387CB419.jpeg87C9F115-8C74-4222-ADFA-0F0DEB62055D.jpeg98D8EE93-47F7-4998-BEB8-29A0DC012514.jpeg93EDF7F3-F41D-4636-91F5-52FBBC2CC412.jpeg32B2A383-33F5-4581-866F-E56937FB322B.jpegC5F5EF14-41AA-41BB-AF8F-0743A945EB28.jpeg

Hi Lee
Looks good. Seems the more modern power unit fitted well and hopefully works as it should.

Yes it runs like a new one. I made a video of it I’ll post it later. Fixing these old 1970s shell up will save me a lot of money in the long run.

Hi Lee
That video is great. Very realistic looking from the low camera angle.
