Beautiful camo work Joe.
Spent the #$%^&^%$%^&&^%)()(*() day shoveling. Thought being a couple hundred miles south of Buffalo would give me a break in my 75 year old dotage. A couple inches of ice covered in 6" of snow for 120' of driveway & 80' of sidewalk. Quite a workout, my cardiologist would be pleased.

Paul…luckily we both survived that ice and snow storm,,,thank god for snowblowers..and now another mini one coming this week….

Okay a new update..German troops geared up and armed…painting and weathering in progress on the howitzer…also found this little gem of a farm cart at a local model show this past weekend… started jazzing it up a little…this will become part of the overall scene,,stay safe and healthy everyone

Looking good Joe, you know I was once queried over the same Howitzer artillery piece you have made on whether it appeared in WW2 by a long time rivet counter on the Finescale modeler forum and wanted proof of images. I didn't bother even though it's featured on Tamiya's Pachi picture reference magazines, used up till 1944 and decided that wasn't the forum I wanted to be in.

Wait, what? Are we talking about the 7,5-cm-le.IG 18 that is in Joe’s pictures above? What kind of rivet counter is that if he doesn’t even know stuff like yes, this is indeed a Second World War gun that’s only designated “18” to make it appear like it wasn’t developed at a time when Germany was severely restricted in its weapons design and production?

There were 4 of these in the heavy weapons company of Grenadier Battalions as late as 44.
Thank you everyone for your support on the continuance of the build… recent updates on the bridge construction and overall base construction. I had to debark all of the logs for the bridge after gathering them from a birch tree in the backyard. IMO the bridge structure is somewhat crude with the nonalignment of all of the cross members but it is after all a bridge that perhaps was constructed by farmers in this setting of the diorama. Still a work in progress and more pictures to come. Enjoy the day fellow modelers

Nice work John !
First pass at painting the bridge structure and wagon…more shading weathered colors to come,, also getting the creek bed ready..multiple layers of fine stones and dirt from the road that were gathered.
