Hi all,
Sorry I’ve not been around that much recently.. but now the summer hols are over and the kids are back at school / college I might get a bit more time.
I havent been completely idle although I did hit a wall on the very final stages of my Road to Moscow bust... I just can’t find the motivation to finish it off!!!
So I turned my attention to something different and got the Tamiya jeep from the stash...it’s fits together perfectly which makes it a joy to work on!

I’ve not done any weathering to speak of as yet but I’m thinking it will be a part of a small “vignette”...possibly involving one or two figures...so it’s still very much a work in progress but good fun nonetheless!

Anyway, thanks for looking in and I should post more soon,
Thanks
Jason

Hi Jason
Life does get in the way of hobby time but hopefully you'll get more time at the bench now. The Tamiya Jeep is indeed a great kit. It was the first model I ever made back in 2010.

Nice to have you back Jason and great to see you doing Tamiya's Willy's, Particularly like the staining on the seats - a typical you touch. I built this one a few months ago and agree that it's a great kit.

Great to see you back posting Jason. Terrific work on the jeep. Look forward to seeing some more of your figure work in the future

Hi all... many thanks... it’s good to be back... although I’m not sure about Peters comment about staining of seats being typical of me!!!

Hi Jason.
Consternation here at the reports of you not finishing the Road to Moscow bust. Sir this is totally unexceptionable, letters have written to the Moscow Times :flushed:

Love the Jeep, looking good now so will be the dogs when the weathering is done.

Hi all,
This is pretty much the build stage complete... I haven’t put in the steering wheel and wing mirror just yet as I have ordered a driver figure as I wasn’t keen on the Tamiya one that came with the kit (at least that gives me time to finish if the Moscow bust..Just for you John!)
I also haven’t really done any weathering or dust as yet as that will be dependent on the final setting...so for now that’s about it
Thanks
Jason

Sorry John... I may have spoken too soon... I’ve decided to add this German POW as part of the setting for the jeep so I,m feeling inclined to crack on with this rather than the bust...maybe?

He,s supposed to be in the process of surrendering so I have made a start on his slightly worried looking face!

Cheers Peter...you can’t beat a “wallop!”
Thanks Scottie...there’s been a few attempts
Anyway, the heads done and hopefully I’ve managed a youthful and anxious expression as he’s supposed to be surrendering....the last pic is super zoomed so hopefully the flaws don’t show to the naked eye!
Thanks

Thanks again Peter!
Sorry to sound slightly obsessive but having looked at the blow up pics I wasn’t happy with the right eye and as it kept bothering me I did it again...hopefully this is better.?
