Wooden deck kit?

I hope someone can help?

Working with wooden deck kits, i assume you have to cut out the various holes for deck fittings such as coal scuttles, vents, AA stations etc. If so would using a wooden deck kit make it much easier to pre paint the fittings, then add the deck, no need for masking or trying not to get paint on the deck when painting the fittings??

On the ones I bought all the holes are pre cut so apart from pushing out the odd bit the deck fits straight onto the model.

Cannot find a wooden deck for KGV, apart from China

The KGV has loads of stuff on the decks, so either painting or masking is going to be a bit of a nightmare!
