Working out scales

I have been looking on line for military figures to have a go at between aircraft models. I use to do a bit of citadel painting years ago. The figures I have been looking at are 1/35, I was wondering how tall these little chaps would actually be.

Give or take about 2".....in old money!

On scale Paul just take the real height (or length) in metric or imperial then divide by the scale you want or are using. Six foot man 72" divide by 35.

54mm is the generally accepted height for 1/35 figures - although they do vary!

Each to his own Paul. Worked in Architecture for 50 years so with all the scale work it is built in. Like laying bricks. When I tried it took 10 minutes to lay each one. A bricky just seems to throw them in every 10secs. and they just look perfect.

Thanks for the replies. I should have worked it out myself but when you look after 300,000+ chickens every day you don't tend to use scales much.

a 1.35 scale should be by all acounts,54mm

but i have found them to be any were from about 50 mm to 62 mm depending on brand,

so it can get hard to mix and match diffidence brands at time, a real example of this was

the box o zombies,being about 62 mm
