Great progress. Cockpit looks very nice. Lovely subtle preshade. Well done with all those tiny decals.

This has now had a few coats of clear satin and is ready for the canopy and undercarriage to get sorted . I already painted up and dark washed the undercarriage and it came out great , good old monogram detail , just needing the moulded on brake lines picking out in black . I also masked up the pitot tube , which has a red and white spiral running down it . This was masked up with micro masking tape and sprayed . The first attempt was a mess , bleeding under the tape so it was cleaned up and tried again this time with a cut piece of Tamiya tape and it came out lovely , like a barbers pole ! 1A792EED-C834-43E5-BE84-4A55B04C3D0A.jpegB2AC5CD2-016F-4CFD-80A2-05F12CBA7206.jpeg29DCCADD-1CD8-4FD5-B29E-7F248B6B36A1.jpegFC6CF784-EE1B-4251-90D2-D4BB19D4D596.jpegD665684B-EBF7-4F11-9C5F-486C7892F5D0.jpeg

Just about done now , the last fiddly ,knocky off bits are going on and a few touch ups and final finishes and its complete. The natural metal exhaust area has had my trademark eye shadow weathering applied to give a blue and grey / brown colouring , the airbrakes being fitted after this was done. The drop tanks ,canopy, pitot and blade aerial were added and the red nav light on the spine was courtesy of my trusty nail art jewel set. So , thats part 3 of the series done , next up is the F-104c Starfighter which I hope to be starting soon .I’ll be putting the completed pics on a separate thread tomorrow but to round off this build thread heres a few pics 57BEEE66-9F32-40AC-A29C-A07CD4CCF152.jpeg6DBD2B16-B8E4-4925-A06A-9EF6E73E3028.jpegD092E267-8573-4971-9890-FF140929176A.jpeg2E73C266-27FA-474D-B396-907B4C168010.jpegBB372E33-AACE-4311-83E7-69355195BA11.jpeg07901312-D8DF-4DA0-8A03-8A553479FAFC.jpeg

Hi Tony
That looks excellent. The undercarriage has come out well - worth all the fiddly work. Your barbers pole is superb. On mine I couldn't get it right so settled for stripes :rolling:

Thanks for the info! It’s definitely something I’ll be trying out at some point.
